Artist, German, 1891 - 1969

This painting contains sharp and curved lines arranged in an overlapping pattern in dark ink on light brown paper. Within the composition, there are a few identifiable shapes. In the center appears to be a baby inside an oval shape, its mouth open and brow furrowed. To the left appears to be a large eye that looks toward the baby. There are some elements that suggest leaves or feathers, as well as some small buildings. The painting is full of large, curved shapes that suggest layers of mountains or waves.
