This painting shows a woman standing, seen from the waist up, her torso turned to the right. She has her hands on her hips and is leaning slightly forward, and she looks out at us from the corners of her eyes. She has fair skin with pale yellow circles around her eyes, dark, arched eyebrows, an upturned nose, and pink lips with the corners turned slightly up. Her dark hair is tied up under a black hat with a bow at the back. She wears a glossy black coat over a high-necked white blouse and a black bow tie. The background is filled with a blend of blurred shades of green, blue, and gray.
