This painting shows a winding path surrounded by a green fence that extends straight ahead of us into the distance. Tall trees, including palm trees, line either side of the path and create a dense forest. Several people travel along the path, including two women riding horses or donkeys, a woman carrying a tray of tropical fruit balanced on her head, and a man carrying a satchel who is turned away from us. All of these people have light brown skin and wear brightly-colored clothes and head covering in shades of blue, pink, red, and orange. The background is filled with greenery, and above is a blue sky with small white clouds.
