American 20th Century

Associated Names
The image shows two side-by-side black-and-white photographs that appear to show the same boy at different stages of his youth. In the left photograph, a young child stands facing the camera with a wide smile. The child has pale skin and short, dark curly hair, and he is wearing a long-sleeved, striped shirt tucked into dark pants. In the background, part of another person is partially visible. In the right photograph, a slightly older boy leans against a railing or fence behind him. This boy also has pale skin and short, dark hair, but this time he is wearing a short-sleeved, white T-shirt with dark pants. The background suggests an outdoor setting. Below these photographs are several lines of text, with some words circled or underlined in pink.
