This painting shows a pathway lined with short pillars and steps adorned with red flags on the left side and a tree-filled area on the right. The leaves overhead cast dappled shadows on the tan ground. The sky behind the brown tree branches is light blue. The brushstrokes in the painting are loose and impressionistic.
